Non Destructive Testings are methods that enable testing materials, parts and components without destructing them, in a way that that these elements are identified as apt to use them for a certain application or not.

NDT methods are use since ancient times in all types of industries and in the most various activities.

The Spanish Society for Non Destructive Testing and Fundación Confemetal (FC) are aware of the lack of knowledge on NDT in Spain.

The industry demands NDT certified personnel, who is required to abide an appropriate training and expertise in order to become certified.

The above statements gave rise to AEND and FC Editorial work together towards a solution to the situation in that the industrial net has at its disposal a set of manuals that are adequate for such required training. Efforts have been made to avoid that these manuals are neither difficult-to-handle encyclopaedias nor mere informative catalogues.

These manuals are the first issues of a series of study books that both entities are going to launch. The methods covered are: ET, PT and MT. The scope has not been limited, and so, it is left as wide as possible for its application in metal-mechanic, nuclear, aerospace and automotive industries.
