AEND Members may be:

  • Individual Members, or
  • Company Members

The General Assembly, at the Board of Directors proposal, may grant a special status to individual, company members or company members’ representatives, which may become:

  • Honorary Members, or
  • Distinguished Members

Individual Members

Any person who requests admission and is accepted by the Board of Directors will be admitted as an individual member.

After paying the membership fee, individual members will have one vote, may be elected as a member of the Governance Structure and will be automatically placed as belonging to a particular Regional Committee, according to the AEND Internal Regulation.

Requests concerning changes with respect to the Regional Committee a member belongs to, are to be submitted to AEND General Secretariat. Requests need to be approved off by the Board of Directors, and the Presidents of the corresponding Regional Committees will be informed at all times.

Change requests submitted three months before an electoral process is started will not be tackled and answered until the election has ended.

Individual members’ right to vote is exerted in Ordinary and Extraordinary Assembly sessions, as well as in the member’s Regional Committee.

A discount on the membership fee will be applied to students and retired people’s fee. The discount will be established by the Board of Directors but it does not entail any modifications in the exercise of their prerogatives as other individual members.

Company Members

Any company or public or private entity with its own legal jurisdiction will be admitted as a company member.

The entity admitted as a member will appoint a representative at the General Assembly and the corresponding Regional Committees.

Company members will be assigned the amount of votes above indicated to be used in the General Assembly and the corresponding Regional Committees:

Entity with over 500 employees … 7 votes

Entity up to 500 employees … 4 votes
